Dr. Shehla Saif
Computer Vision, Deep Learning & AI Solutions
Dr. Shehla Saif is part of CoftTech’s technical leadership for computer vision, deep learning and AI-enabled software systems. She is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at FAST-NUCES Islamabad and holds a PhD in Computer Science specializing in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, with doctoral research focused on deepfake detection.
Her work investigates AI systems capable of understanding and reliably analyzing complex visual, temporal and multimodal information. She also brings experience in software architecture, software development and the development of deep-learning-based systems.
Core Capabilities
Computer Vision & Visual Intelligence
Analysis of images and video to detect, classify and interpret objects, scenes and visual patterns that support operational decisions.
Deep Learning & Adaptive AI
Design, training and evaluation of deep-learning models that remain reliable as data, environments and operating conditions change.
Spatiotemporal & Human Behavior Understanding
Modelling how scenes, activities and human behavior evolve over time across video and other sequential visual data.
Trustworthy Multimodal & Foundation Models
Reliable use of multimodal and foundation models, with attention to robustness, authenticity and the detection of manipulated media.
Software Architecture & AI-Enabled Systems
Architecture and development of software systems that integrate deep-learning components into dependable, maintainable solutions.
AI for Climate, Weather & Disaster Intelligence
Application of visual, spatiotemporal and multimodal AI to climate, weather and disaster-related data.
Vision AI for Industry
Factories, mills, manufacturing companies, retail operations and many other businesses already capture large volumes of images and video through their cameras and operational systems — yet most of this visual data is never analyzed.
Dr. Shehla’s expertise enables CoftTech to explore and develop computer-vision solutions that turn cameras, images, video and visual operational data into useful intelligence: earlier detection of defects and anomalies, clearer visibility into processes and workflows, and safer, better-monitored operations.
Each solution is scoped around the client’s operational context, available visual data and the reliability required in day-to-day use.
